World Maths Day is the world’s largest and most loved mathematical celebration of mathematics coordinated by 3P Learning (the makers of Mathletics). On this day, millions of students across the world compete in Live Mathletics challenges to determine a global winner, while also participating in fun activities that highlight the wonder of numbers.

World Maths Day has grown exponentially since its beginning in 2007. In fact, it holds the world record for the most participants in an online mathematics competition with 1.9 million students taking part in a single day.

On Wednesday the 5th of May 2021, it was time to prime those brains and flex those fingers. Students across the globe battled it out to discover who the world’s strongest mathlete was. It ran for 48 hours to cover all global time zones and with pride and joy we announce the following achievements.

The following students are acknowledged for placing top 3 in the school:
1st – Krishna Bharadwaj (7G)
2nd – Kavita Daya (6G)
3rd – Alex Pillay (4G)

The following student is acknowledged for placing 112th in the world:

Summerhill Preparatory placed accordingly:
Grade 4’s placed 8th in the country and 273rd in the world.
Grade 5’s placed 9th in the country and 307th in the world.
Grade 6’s placed 15th in the country and 315th in the world.
Grade 7’s placed 7th in the country and 176th in the world.
