  • Thinking Schools of South Africa – TSSA: an approach that teaches children to cognitively think about the information they receive and to classify the data in relation to the subject as a whole.
  • World reading aloud, Literacy Day,
  • Reading Eggs and Mathseeds: online programs assisting each individual student in improving their reading and math skills
  • STEAM: an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
  • Eskom Science Fair: a showcase where students display their innovative scientific ideas and projects
  • Mathletics: a supporting platform for students to improve, practise and challenge their mathematics skills through interactive activities, games and challenges.
  • Purple Mash : IT integrated creative leaning space, (online) (IT, coding and programming)
  • Mindfulness workshops (to teach student to learn with purpose and engage)
  • Google classroom training: generated space where students and teachers connect. It allows for teachers to communicate with students, set assignments, grade tasks and ask questions in the form of polls. Teachers are able to add links, videos and other resources to aid and support their lessons and topics taught.
  • WESSA and Eco Schools (recycling, preserving the environment, bee hotel, owl house, compost bin, worm farm) outdoor classroom lessons: an international programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) that was developed to support environmental learning in the classroom. The programme is active in 67 countries around the world and has been implemented in South Africa since 2003 by WESSA
  • Conquesta in Maths and English national test: an international Olympiad that serves as a bench marking tool for schools, and an opportunity for students to become aware of their potential and grow their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Eisteddfod: offers students a platform to experience poetry, build confidence and to shine at the showcase theatre events.
  • SACCE essay writing competition: an organisation dedicated to the promotion of the English language. The competition encourages young writers to create their own unique pieces in the categories of poetry, short story and monologue.
  • Johannesburg Mini Council: an accelerated leadership program for grade 7 learners, with projects and events giving back to communities in the greater Johannesburg area.

    • Beaux-Arts Pottery: by creating something out of clay, a child develops a sense of achievement, which enhances self-confidence and capabilities to succeed in any task.
    • On the Move Dance-hip hop/modern dance- dance teaches discipline, flexibility, team work and is good for fitness
    • Karate Academy: self-defence, correct postural alignment, concentration and breathing techniques, fosters self-confidence and self-respect.
    • Little Kickers: learn to play ball independently and as a part of a team to enhance coordination, mobility and general fitness.
    • Private Swimming: how to swim, safety in the pool, stroke correction, stamina and speed.
    • The Sunshine Drama Club: performing arts using voice, music, movement, speech and drama.
    • Young Engineers: advanced program using Lego kits to learn Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
    • Summerhill F.C: ages from 8-14 with the aim of growing the love of soccer for boys and girls, teaching skill and laying a good foundation of the sport.
