From the desk of Mrs. Sonya Toet Principal Summerhill Nursery School
In honour of Nelson Mandela Day this year, the children of Summerhill Nursery collected colouring books and colour pencils. The initiative was a combined effort with an organisation called Cupcakes of Hope.
Cupcakes of Hope assists families in need while their children are receiving cancer treatment. The organisation is currently creating hospital activity care bags, which will be distributed at children’s oncology wards soon. The colouring books and crayons will be included in the bags to help keep the little patients occupied during their long chemotherapy sessions.
Thanks to the incredible support from the parents and the children of Summerhill Nursery, we are proud to hand over 50 colouring books and 50 packs of crayons and colour pencils to Cupcakes of Hope. If you would like further information on the organisation, please click the link below.
