2022 TERM 2 INTER-HOUSE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE QUIZ
Summerhill School has always incorporated new, fun and dynamic ways to learn. One of these opportunities is the termly General Knowledge Quiz. Our students were divided into their houses, competing against each other in a fast-paced, game-show like quiz. A variety of general knowledge questions covering topics in history, geography, science, movies, music as well as current events were included. All grades had heaps of fun and the house winners are as follows:
Gr 4: Falcons

Gr 6: Eagles
Gr 7: Eagles
Overall winners: Falcons

2022 TERM 2 SP INTER-HOUSE SPELLING BEE
Round two of the 2022 Spelling Bee was conducted by the English teachers on the 29th of July. Having had a week to learn their new list, the enthusiasts who had spelt their way into this round were eager to see how far they could go.
The greatest care and caution was taken as they competed in the written and then verbal sections of the bee.
The following students emerged as qualifiers to go into the final round in term three:
Grade 4: Eli Young, Jaylynn Magerman, Lalith Seshabhatter and Manasvi Dodda
Grade 5: Aryan Govender, Sri Sardineni, Thamsanqa Mnguni, Aiden Kanosvamhira and Neo Mpai

2022 TERM 2 SP INTER-HOUSE MULTIPLICATION TABLES CHALLENGE
On a cold wintery morning, 4 brilliant students pitted their grey matter against one another in a battle of who knew their Multiplication tables the best. After combatting their own grades (4-7), four champions had to take on the other grade winners in front of the entire senior phase. After an intense round of questions, one winner emerged, our grade 7 champion and overall Term 2 winner for 2022, Nyasha Bibi. Well done to the other grade winners:
