It was our first competitive game against another school, especially for the under nines. On the 11th of May excitement was in the air from the morning till kick-off. Our under nine soccer boys showed great composure in their approach to the match displaying excellent ball control and team communication. Cael Young who is only in Grade One was announced the player of the game as he scored both Summerhill’s goals in their 2-0 victory. Emmanuel Mabaso displayed great flair as well.
Our under ten boys were well supported by their teachers and the boys rose to the occasion with a show for them. Under 10B won 2-0 and under 10 A won 7-0. Summerhill players showed good sportsmanship and our team cohesion on and off the field was amazing.
