On Wednesday 12 January 2022, Summerhill students were treated to having Drum Busters, one of the leading drumming agencies, come in to welcome them with a team building session for the new school year.
Every student member received a drum for the morning and the students had fun creating various rhythms and beats as a group. The aim was to unite the students by connecting in rhythm and having them communicate and listen via interactive drumming with an African style that would not be forgotten.
They provided a unique, fun way to bring the students together so that they were reminded that together we make beautiful music, both literally and metaphorically.
Valuable life lessons were discussed and the experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
