On Saturday, 11th of January 2022, Summerhill Preparatory School welcomed their Grade One classes of 2022 with the traditional bell ringing ceremony, signifying their entrance into our prestigious school as well as the official start on their academic and fun-filled journey with the school.
A total of 45 Grade One students and their parents were welcomed to the annual bell ringing ceremony by the principal, Ms Fritz. The ceremony was opened with the School Blessing and Ms Fritz went on to explain that the students would ring the bell twice during their time at the Prep School. Once on entering Grade One to signify joining the preparatory leg of Summerhill and then again at the end of Grade Seven when they leave primary school and commence with their secondary education.
On this auspicious day the boys looked dapper and the girls looked beautiful in their new uniforms. Every student had the opportunity to strut their stuff on the red carpet before ringing the bell while their doting parents looked on as they participated in this special ceremony. Though some bell-rings were loud and others gentle, each ring of the bell came with its own uniqueness.
