The College is incredibly proud of Grade 12 student, Kaylan Moodley who together with his partner, Julio Bianchi are the first South African gamers to secure a spot in the prestigious FIFAe Club World Cup finals. The tournament will be taking place online between 24-28 February and the duo have a shot at winning a whopping $245, 000!
Last year, Kaylan competed in the FIFA FUT Champions Cup in Romania and France where he finished in the top 16 players on the Xbox. He is currently ranked 33rd in the world on the console and is number 1 in South Africa.
While many parents try to limit screen and gaming time, Kaylan is proof that academic goals and passion need not be mutually exclusive. According to him, “That’s every kid’s dream, doing what you love.” We wish him the very best in his upcoming tournament. Keep flying the Summerhill flag high, Kaylan!
