WESSA ECO CLUB – As part of our commitment to a culture of CONCIOUSNESS about the natural environment and its PRESERVATION, we are proud to announce our relationship with KHENSANI’S COLLECTION – an organisation that focuses on giving back to disadvantaged youth in Diepsloot by providing educational assistance.

Summerhill’s Headboy of 2021, Travis Taylor, together with members of our WESSA Eco Club hand over ECO BRICKS to Executive director of KHENSANI’S COLLECTION.

KHENSANI’S COLLECTION is currently in the process of building an entire school from ECO-BRICKS; they have already completed their first classroom and they are determined to continue serving their community by using all resources available to them.

Summerhill International College Commits to a Culture of Consciousness.

The main focus of the Ecobrick project is to help alleviate pollution that is caused by plastic litter which is contributing to climate change.Plastic is among the most significant and rapidly growing sources of industrial greenhouse gas emissions. The pollution when ingested causes diseases like cancer, diabetes, depression, heart disease, and accelerated ageing. An Ecobrick is created by filling a plastic bottle with clean, dry unrecyclable plastic until it’s packed tightly and can be used as a building block.

We are proud of our commitment to a culture of CONCIOUSNESS about the natural environment and its PRESERVATION.
