On Friday, 5 February, the Grade Sevens of 2021 had their Tie Ceremony. The Tie Ceremony is a traditional event to symbolise the seniority and leadership roles of the Grade Sevens.
It had been the first sunny day in a while and the class of 2021 lined up to receive their ties and Krispy Kreme donuts. Ms Willers opened the ceremony with the school’s blessing and Ms Frits gave an inspiring speech, ringing them in as the “big kids” of the school. Afterwards, the Grade Sevens enjoyed their donuts and viewed the instructional charts made for them, guiding them on how to correctly tie their senior accessories.
