Nicolene Reddy A+Student at Summerhill Preparatory School Midrand
Nicolene Reddy is an A+ Student in more ways than one. She is involved in an extra-curricular organisation call A+Students. This is a Japanese method of education that teaches children as young as 2 ½ (30 months) to solve complex arithmetic problems by playing with educational toys like the Soroban and A+Play Maths range of educational toys. Using an abacus (“soroban”), that ancient calculator of Asian cultures, you can add up, take away, do division and multiplication up to a billion. And it’s really not complicated; all you need is a bit of time and concentration to get the basics down. We are very proud of Nicolene Reddy A+Student at Summerhill Preparatory School Midrand.
A+Students mathematics competition
Nicolene attended an A+Students mathematics competition on 11 May. This competition was attended by students from different provinces. Nicolene achieved the highest result placing her as a winner regionally. In July, she will competing nationally and if she wins, she has the chance to go to Thailand in August to compete Internationally. Good Luck, Nicolene!!! We are very proud of Nicolene Reddy A+Student at Summerhill Preparatory School Midrand.
